Vultr charges Goods and Services Tax (GST), Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), Quebec Services Tax (QST), and Provincial Sales Tax (PST) to customers with appropriate tax locations throughout Canada.
The following table summarizes the tax rates in Canada. The tax is charged to Canadian customers based on their Province and Territory. Prices listed on the Vultr.com website do not include the applicable VAT charges.

Vultr charges GST and HST to all customers with a tax location in Canada. Some Canadian businesses may be able to claim a refund on taxes paid. Visit the Canada Revenue Agency’s website (here) for more information.
The provinces of British Columbia and Manitoba each levy a PST at 7%, in addition to the 5% GST, for a total tax rate of 12% on services provided by Vultr. For users located in Saskatchewan, Vultr collects a 6% PST in addition to 5% GST for a total tax rate of 11% on digital services provided. Effective January 1, 2026, in accordance with Manitoba’s updated Bulletin 033, Vultr will begin collecting Manitoba’s 7% Provincial Sales Tax (PST), also referred to as Retail Sales Tax (RST).

Quebec’s sales tax is a VAT structure in the same manner as the GST and HST. The QST is charged in addition to the 5% GST and is levied at the rate of 9.975% for a total tax rate of 14.975% on the services provided to customers with a tax location in Quebec.
This complies with the registration requirement of the Government of Quebec for companies outside of Quebec who supply taxable services to customers in Quebec to collect and remit Quebec Service Tax (QST).

Your account address determines your tax location. When you sign up for services at Vultr, you will see an option to update your account information, located here.
If this information is not provided to us, by law, we are required to consider other account details, like payment addresses or IP addresses.
You can update your account address and view your account’s tax location and rate at any time on the billing page of the customer portal after logging into your Vultr Account. If you’ve set your account address correctly but your account’s tax location is not what you expect, contact support for help.
