Your bandwidth cap is the total of your free bandwidth, instance bandwidth, and any purchased bandwidth. For billing purposes, each month has 672 hours, and bandwidth allocations are made hourly throughout the month. An overage charge will be applied if you exceed your currently-allocated bandwidth at any point during the month.
Free bandwidth is allocated monthly. Each month you will receive a 2TB allotment of free bandwidth to use. There is no carryover of unused free bandwidth between months.
Instance bandwidth is allocated each hour the instance is running. Each instance plan has a different monthly cap, so each hour the instance runs, you accrue one hour's worth of that instance’s monthly cap.
Purchased Bandwidth is not pro-rated like the other two categories. All bandwidth you purchase is allocated immediately to your account and can be used at any time during the month. You can purchase bandwidth one time or recurring monthly.
