While virtual machines are perfect for many use cases, sometimes your applications can benefit from direct access to your server's underlying hardware. That's why we offer Vultr Bare Metal.

With our Bare Metal servers, you can enjoy the simplicity of Vultr's experience, while also having complete control of your server's software, along with non-virtualized access to your system's processor and memory resources.

Today we're introducing a new Vultr Bare Metal option that makes provisioning dedicated servers incredibly inexpensive.

The New Vultr Bare Metal Package:

For just $185 / month ($0.275 / hr), you can provision Bare Metal servers with these specifications:

  • Intel E-2286G processor
  • 6 cores / 12 threads @ 4.0 GHz
  • 32 GB RAM
  • 1.9TB SSD (2 x 960 GB)
  • 10TB bandwidth
  • 10Gbps Ethernet

This new Bare Metal plan is currently available in seven of our global data centers, with additional locations coming in the weeks ahead.

For those seeking a more powerful configuration, we also recently added global capacity for a larger Bare Metal plan with 8 cores, 128 GB RAM, and 4TB NVMe SSD. We will also be launching an even more powerful Bare Metal configuration later this year.

We hope that these Bare Metal options empower you to run those special applications that demand something more than our virtual instances provide. Perhaps you've got software that's made for non-virtualized environments; or maybe you've concluded that you can maximize resource efficiency by utilizing Bare Metal servers and running your own hypervisor.

Inventory remains somewhat limited, so if you're interested in either of these Bare Metal plans, we suggest you provision Bare Metal servers within the control panel today!
